Management Systems · Case study
A complete point-of-sale and kitchen display system for a multi-location restaurant group — from the table to the pass.
01Overview
A full restaurant operating system: a touch-first POS for front-of-house staff, a live table map, kitchen display screens for every station, menu and modifier management, staff shifts and end-of-day reporting — all running from one shared backend.
02The challenge
Orders were taken on paper tickets and re-typed into a basic till. The kitchen had no view of what was coming, waiters walked back and forth to check on dishes, and managers reconciled the day from spreadsheets after closing.
03Our solution
We designed the system around the busiest hour of a service. The POS runs as a desktop app that keeps working if the connection drops and syncs when it returns. Orders route to the right kitchen station in real time, with timers, course firing and bump-to-complete. Managers edit menus, prices and modifiers once and every device updates, while shifts, voids and sales roll up into a daily report automatically.
04Results
- Orders reach the right kitchen station the moment they are placed
- One system replaced paper tickets, the old till and closing spreadsheets
- Service keeps running during internet outages
- Managers see sales, voids and shifts without staying late to reconcile
